MaxLite 100W LED Area Lamp for Outdoor Luminaires Replaces 400W MH and HPS

February 20, 2017

The MaxLite LED Area Lamp is an easy and economical retrofit for pole and surface mounted fixtures with an E39 socket, such as shoeboxes, cobra heads and wall packs.

Delivering 10,000 lumens, the lamp provides a high quality of light compared to the yellow haze of high-pressure sodium and metal halide bulbs. The lamp turns on instantly and evenly distributes light with a 180-degree beam angle (Type V distribution), thereby reducing shadows and creating a more well-lit and comfortable environment for pedestrians and motorists.

Providing facilities with years of energy and maintenance cost savings, the LED lamp reduces energy usage by 75% and lasts twice as long as conventional bulbs, with a lifetime of 50,000 hours.

“The new Area Lamp enables property managers and municipalities to replace less efficient lighting without replacing the full fixture, making the switch to LED extremely cost-effective,” notes Product Manager Alex Truong. “In addition to the reduction in energy and maintenance costs, the long life of LED technology also means less disruption or downtime in heavily trafficked areas.”

Suitable for use in totally enclosed luminaires, the lamp is engineered with specialized thermal protectors that reduce the risk of overheating inside the fixture. The lamp is UL-listed for ballast-bypass and comes with a five-year limited warranty and lifetime product support.
