DALI Alliance to Showcase State-of-the-Art Lighting Control at LightFair 2023

May 5, 2023

The DALI Alliance, the global industry organization for DALI lighting control, will present two seminars at LightFair 2023, a major trade show and conference for architectural and commercial lighting, which takes place in New York on May 23-25.

The seminars will focus on two important areas in lighting control: smart lighting with D4ienabled luminaires, and the benefits of the Zhaga-D4i ecosystem. The DALI Alliance will alson be present on Booth 2162 in the LightFair exhibition, and will give a live demonstration of data analytics using Zhaga-D4i luminaires and control devices.

Details of the Dali Alliance Seminars

State-of-the-Art, Energy-Efficient Lighting Control Systems with D4i-Enabled Luminaires

On Wednesday 24th May from 5:00–6:00 pm, the DALI Alliance will deliver a seminar on state-of-the-art, energy-efficient lighting control systems with D4i-enabled luminaires. As part of IES Live on Booth 1974, the seminar will be presented by several industry experts: Kevin Fitzmaurice, principal engineer of lighting and smart services at Georgia Power; Sree Venkit, system architect for connected lighting at Signify; Nate Miten, vice president of property standards at Kimco Realty; and Michael Davidson of Synapse Wireless.

The seminar will start with an overview of key D4i features, and will then explore customer expectations for a modern state-of-the-art lighting control system. The speakers will explain the applications and benefits of each D4i feature in the design of such a control system, including sensing, local and group control, asset management, energy optimization and easy maintenance. The seminar will also expand on the application of asset management and energy metering features with real-life examples from end users.

Standardized Lighting and Control Interfaces for Indoor and Outdoor Luminaires

The DALI Alliance will also give a joint seminar with the Zhaga Consortium on standardized lighting and control interfaces for indoor and outdoor luminaires, on Tuesday 23rd May from 10:30–11:30 am.

This seminar will explain how the combination of Zhaga and D4i delivers plug-and-play options to the lighting world. The Zhaga-D4i ecosystem of lighting products enables smart, future-proof LED luminaires with IoT connectivity, and participants will hear about the key benefits of Zhaga-D4i certification. This seminar will be presented by Mark Duffy of MD35 Consulting, Kevin Fitzmaurice of Georgia Power, and Landon Miles of Inventronics.

Any LightFair attendees interested in learning about the benefits of D4i-based lighting control solutions are welcome to attend these free show floor seminars or visit the DALI Alliance booth #2162. See the DALI Alliance website for more details.
