Intense Lighting Launches the MX Downlight Series

Intense

Intense Lighting, Inc.’s new MX Downlight series features three configurations: 3.5-inch small aperture LED downlight, adjustable and wall wash luminaires. The complete MX Downlight series is available in integrated LED and MR16 lamp configurations. Combining a designer look with superior energy saving functionality, the MX Downlight series is a dynamic solution for a variety of retail, commercial, hospitality and residential lighting environments.

The unifying trait among the complete MX Downlight series is its flexible and highly efficient light module that delivers lumen packages from 650 lumens (lm) to 1200lm, up to 80 lumens per watt. Ensuring fixture-to-fixture colour uniformity, the MX product line utilizes Two-Step MacAdam Ellipse binning to ensure colour consistency from 2700K through 4100K in either 82CRI or 92CRI.

Featuring a custom proprietary TIR optical system ranging from a 12 degree spot to 50 degree wide flood, the MX Downlight and Adjustable luminaires obtain superior beam control, efficiency, and a tight centre beam delivering more than 12,000 centre beam candlepower (CBCP). Additionally, the luminaires precisely deliver light where needed, such as the MX Adjustable’s 35 degree hot vertical adjustment and 360 degree horizontal gear rotation with locking, and the MX Wall Wash luminaire’s exceptional uniform vertical illumination with a one-to-one spacing ratio.

Like the other products in the MX Family, the MX Downlight series features a Quick Ship Frame-In design, allowing the light module and trim to be ordered and shipped independently from the housing, and comes equipped with quick connects for an easy plug-and-play installation. Offering a wide collection of architectural grade die-casted aluminum trims, the devices are available in round and square configurations with either trim or trimless options.

Delivering smooth and flicker free illumination, the MX products offer a variety of dimming and control options, including 0.1 percent Dim to Dark. The products’ field-changeable trims, optics, drivers, mechanisms, light engines and accessories allow for easy in-field modification.
