Acuity Brands’ EarthLIGHT Initiative Inspires Local Businesses to Give Back to Their Communities

November 16, 2023

Acuity Brands Lighting – a North American lighting provider with Canada-wide offices and agencies – has developed a program called EarthLIGHT Initiative, aimed at encouraging customers to make a positive impact in their communities.

As part of the EarthLIGHT initiative, they are delighted to recognize Electrozad Supply Company – with locations in London, Windsor, Chatham, and Sarnia – as the 2023 Winning Distributor for Canada.

As the winner, Electrozad chose Ronald McDonald House as the recipient of a $10,000 donation from Acuity Brands. Electrozad then joined forces with Wharton Sales Company Limited (WSC Lighting Systems) of London as each company gave another $5000 – for a grand total donation of $20,000!

Ronald McDonald House is a renowned charitable organization that provides a home away from home for families with sick children, offering comfort and stability during challenging times. The funds donated will be utilized by RMH to enhance their programs and services, ensuring that families facing medical challenges receive the care and support they need.

“We are delighted to partner with Electrozad and Wharton Sales to support such a worthy cause,” said Mark Killoran of Acuity Brands. “Through the EarthLIGHT Initiative, we strive to foster a culture of giving back, and this donation to Ronald McDonald House aligns perfectly with our mission to create positive change in the communities where we operate.”

“We believe in the power of collective action and are honored to join forces with Acuity Brands and Electrozad in this philanthropic endeavor,”

Scott Wharton of Wharton Sales

By supporting Ronald McDonald House through their charitable donations, Acuity Brands, Electrozad, and Wharton Sales exemplify the values of corporate social responsibility and community engagement. They hope their actions inspire others to follow suit and contribute to the well-being of their communities.
