Virtual Reality App Will Enable Fixture Modifications

LDS Ascenti AR 400

April 15, 2020

California-based custom fixture manufacturer and lighting design company Ascenti Lighting is expected to launch its augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) app for commercial lighting professionals by mid-April. Intended to help workers amid the COVID-19 crisis, the app will allow users to view and modify custom fixtures designed for them by Ascenti Lighting in real time and to adjust size and placement, making it easy to meet the exact specifications of each room.

The app will give users the chance to explore places illuminated by Ascenti with 360-deg panoramas of locations including hotels, restaurants, bars and other hospitality spaces. It will also allow users to share and present custom lighting options to clients in real time. Once launched, the app will be available for download from the Apple app store.
