Lightheaded Lighting LTD, an innovator in specification-grade accent and downlighting for residential and commercial applications, received the Best Booth Award at LIGHTFAIR International 2016 in San Diego, CA. Lightheaded – formerly Dasal Architectural Lighting – simultaneously launched the company’s new name, logo, website rebranding and vivid tagline. Along with this comprehensive rebranding, the booth showed a number of new products in a way that many lighting professionals relate to. The booth was recognized for excellence in visual display and product presentation in the 400-500 sq. ft. category.

Lightheaded provides specification-grade LED directional lighting products for the residential and commercial architectural markets. The booth showcased new recessed LED downlights and accent lights suited to hospitality, residential, retail and corporate spaces. Lightheaded customers benefit from well controlled and efficient lighting with a full range of dimming and digital intelligence options.

Thousands of lighting and building professionals from around the world thronged the massive exhibit hall. But among the bright, almost visually assaulting exhibits, the clean and comfortable Lightheaded booth provided a respite.

The sophisticated audience saw themselves and their colleagues in the full-body duplicates on display. Several months ago, a few Lightheaded managers and employees stepped into a 3D scanner to be immortalized in resin by a 3D printer. This cutting-edge technology added a human connection to the product display: some were “dupes” of the personnel staffing the booth at LIGHTFAIR.

Lightheaded Lightfair 2016Passersby could instantly recognize the actions that the figures depicted. No matter where they go, lighting professionals are constantly looking up to critique the lighting in a space. The three larger figurines, front and center, looked up toward the new logo and tagline. Smaller dupes “examined” the beamspreads and lighting qualities of different products.

“The new tagline ‘Obsessed with Light’ embodies the company’s enduring commitment to quality architectural lighting design and engineering. And the dupes ’embody’ that obsession, shared by many lighting professionals. We connected with both current and potential customers on an intuitive level: conveying our singular dedication and enthusiasm for great lighting,” said Founder and President Norm David.
