The highest point score winner across all entries, in addition to receiving an Award of Excellence for their project, received the IALD Radiance Award for Excellence in Lighting Design. Accepting the IALD Radiance Award for Excellence in Lighting Design were Ben Ferrisand Graham Rollins, the project team from Lighting Design International for the Kimpton Fitzroy in London, England UK.
IALD Awards Chair Morgan Gabler, IALD, commented, “This year was exceptional in both the caliber of all the projects we reviewed, as well as the increase in awards submitted from designers around the world. The lighting design award entries showcase an ever-increasing level of creativity, design and sophisticated application of light. IALD Awards recognize award-winning projects that go beyond distinction in architectural lighting—they evoke emotional responses, engage their communities and inspire awe.
