LEDVANCE LLC, the maker of SYLVANIA general lighting in the US and Canada, announced Charlie Harte as the company’s VP of Marketing & Customer Experience. This is an addition to Harte’s role as Canada President & CEO for LEDVANCE LLC which he took over in February 2020. For over 30 years, Harte has been generating demand across multiple channels for brands in the building materials industry including Uponor, Milwaukee Tools, Irwin Industrial Tools, DeWalt and Black & Decker. With a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) EMBA 35 from University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management, Harte is skilled in sales, negotiation, talent development, strategic planning, business development, and marketing strategy. In North America, LEDVANCE LLC offers a wide range of SYLVANIA LED luminaires for various applications, intelligent lighting products for Smart Homes and Buildings, one of the largest LED lamp portfolios in the industry, and traditional light sources.

“Since Charlie joined our LEDVANCE Team, he has impressed us with his strong sales and marketing capabilities, in addition to his positive leadership qualities,” said Bart Mei, Managing Director, LEDVANCE LLC. “I am looking forward to Charlie expanding new ways to market and merchandise our extensive product lines.”

“As the world’s leading vertically integrated general lighting company for professional customers and end-consumers, LEDVANCE is the bright choice, especially with our award-winning TruWave Technology and our growing portfolio of LED industry leading luminaires,” said Harte. “This year, we are enhancing our demand generation activities to better empower our sales team and channel and agent partners. We see brighter days ahead in 2021, and I’m excited for my expanded role to help meet the needs of our customers.”
