LDS Cree Lutron 400

April 3, 2020

Lutron Electronics and Cree Lighting are teaming up to introduce a variety of new connected lighting products to the market: Cree Lighting indoor and outdoor fixtures offered with Lutron wired and wireless digital fixture control technologies.

Lutron controls are being included in a number of Cree Lighting products:

  • Cree Lighting’s architectural Stylus Linear Series will be enabled with Lutron Vive wireless integral fixture control. Vive, Lutron’s simple and scalable wireless lighting control solution, offers customers flexibility, ease of installation, and code compliance.  The Stylus portfolio will also be available with Lutron EcoSystem digital LED drivers for wired specifications. In addition to digital fixture addressability for enhanced connectivity options, EcoSystem delivers smooth and consistent dimming across all zones and fixtures, and immunity to poor power quality and line noise.
  • Limelight, Lutron’s wireless lighting control solution for outdoor facilities, is being added to Cree Lighting’s industry leading IG Series fixtures with WaveMax Technology for superior lighting in parking garages.
  • Cree Lighting’s ZR Series LED troffers will be available with both Lutron EcoSystem wired digital LED drivers, and Vive wireless integral fixture controls, providing all the Lutron EcoSystem and Vive benefits with the better lighting quality and value offered by the Cree Lighting ZR Series products.
  • Cree Lighting’s specifier grade KR Series downlights and CR Series troffers already offer Lutron EcoSystem technology options.

“We’re pleased to add Lutron’s technology to more Cree Lighting fixtures, helping customers to effortlessly realize the simplicity, flexibility, and capabilities of smart LED fixtures,” said Matthew Ochs, Senior Director, Mid-Market Commercial Business for Lutron. “Lutron and Cree Lighting have long been dedicated to high-quality, innovative products, and this collaboration utilizes both companies leading technologies to deliver some of the best-connected luminaires in the lighting industry, whether wired, wireless, indoor, outdoor, new construction or building retrofit.”

“Cree Lighting is committed to providing customers with the right solution for their specific application,” said Kathryn Caspar, Cree Lighting’s VP of Indoor & Industrial Lighting. “By adding Lutron technology options, we’re further ensuring customers get the very best match for their project needs from the industry’s leading controls company.”

The Lutron-enabled Stylus Linear Series, IG Series parking garage, ZR Series basket and retrofit troffers are available for specifying now, and first of the new products will begin shipping in April.

“Lutron is committed to expanding the use of simple, connected lighting controls within and outside of the fixture,” said Ochs. “Our collaboration with Cree Lighting is yet another way to take care of our customers.”
