Winners of the 2019 IESNYC Lumen Awards

On June 13, 2019, the IESNYC announced the recipients of the 2019 Lumen Awards at the 51st annual Lumen Gala at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers.

First time winner, LOOP Lighting, received a Lumen Award of Excellence for Claus Porto New York. BuroHappold Engineering and Transsolar KlimaEngineering also won an Award of Excellence for their work on Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Tillotson Design Associates walked away with three awards. They received an Award of Excellence for the Museum at the Gateway Arch; and Awards of Merit for Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis and The Four Seasons Restaurant in NYC.

Other first time winners were Melanie Freundlich Lighting Design, LLC —who received an Award of merit for the Millerton Pool House—and upLIGHTreceived a Citation for Interactive Façade for Sensing Change in Chicago.

Focus Lighting won an Award of Merit for their work on the National Holocaust Monument in Canada and a Citation for Kinetic Façade Treatment for the exterior of Ocean Wonders: Sharks! in Brooklyn.

Awards of Merit were also given to One Lux Studio for Park Tower Health Club; Lighting Workshop for Domino Park; and to Arup for Janet Echelman’s Pulse at Dilworth Park.

Cline Bettridge Bernstein Lighting Design was awarded a Citation for Integrated Ceiling Feature for Twin Brook Capital Partners Offices.
